About me

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest (USA). Currently, I am living in the Midwest (USA). I am in my mid-thirties. I work as a finance analyst for a large corporation. I am happily married to my second wife and have two wonderful boys from my first marriage.

I have been a gamer since as far back as I can remember. It was in my teens that I discovered both role-playing games and miniature war-games.

My first ever role-playing game was Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition. I found the 80′s & 90′s to be a great time for exploring different role-playing games; expanding into Traveller, GURPS, Runequest, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and countless others.

I always enjoyed using miniatures in my AD&D games. When I first saw them used for war-games, I knew I would be hooked. I first started with some Warhammer 40,000 space marines. (the famous RTB01 set). Then I got into Space Marine, currently known as Epic: Armageddon.

My role-playing games of choice are Traveller, Savage Worlds and Dark Heresy. I am usually open to try just about any role-playing game though.

I spent a lot of my war-gaming years dedicated to playing Games Workshop games. Primarily, I play Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy, but my favorites will always be Epic, Battlefleet Gothic and Warmaster. I do enjoy the occasional game of Talisman or Space Hulk. I keep my eye out for new games and am exploring options outside of Games Workshop. I’ve been looking closely at 15mm sci-fi and may be trying out Tomorrow’s War and Chain Reaction soon.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog, exploring my hobby and hopefully find some inspiration for your own hobby.
